Personally, medals are painful metal reminders of aborted dreams.
The professional champion swimmer. (Turned supermodel. Haha. Jekleng!)
The accomplished concert pianist.
The hard-hitting veteran journalist.
In this joust between my adolescence and adulthood, I wonder whether I should give ground. I try to reassure myself that this really is just a random sober thought but then it just isn't. It's either because today, I'm two months shy of my 19th birthday or it was that question - "Describe briefly your standards for success."
After which I was amused at how I could vividly picture in my mind my professor in CA 217 [Communication & Socio-Cultural Change]. No doubt that he would've snorted a giggle or worse (and more likely!) a flat-out guffaw.

Dahil monthsary, sinagot na ni Kid yung kulang dun sa pambili ko ng Incubus ticket.

Basta kung di niyo pa siya napapanuod, panuorin niyo na. Maganda. Kung pamilyar kayo sa graphic novels ni Marjane Satrapi, eto yun. Ginawa siyang animated film. Prize of the Jury nung 2007 Cannes Film Festival and Oscar-nominated for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year (2008). Ngayong lumagpas na kami sa dalawapu't limang buwan, isa sa mga bagay na sobra ko talagang pinasasalamatan e yung sabay naming natutunan ang magbigay ng pagkakataong makabawi sa mga pagkukulang at pagkakamali ng isa't isa.  * Nung nakaraang Pasko 'to sa Antipolo. Talagang nag-piktsyuran pa kami sa tindahan. *** Happy birthday Kuya JM, Francis at Mike! Salamat din sa'yo, Ernesto. :) |
